Anticipate Pictures is an independent film distributor that actively scours the grounds of film festivals worldwide to find fresh and striking arthouse films and documentaries.
Stemming from the notion of anticipation, the visual identity revolves around the idea of revealing and 'plot-thickening', of what makes us anticipate the very next scene while seeing a film.
As a tongue-in-cheek reference to the often romanticised experience of watching foreign films, texts are typeset in the subtitle/captioning format, allowing for variations in tones for namecards and other brand collaterals.
As a film-based identity where presence will mostly be in film bumpers, the logo is conceptualised, designed as an animation and created in a video software - a single still frame from the animation was extracted for the static logo. The motion used to animate create the logo itself follows through in the letters morphing into the other arms of the company.
