Platforms is a new, creative space for the London music landscape by King's College London DJ (KCLDJ), London's largest student-led music events collective. Showcasing young DJs and visual artists, Platforms provides a stage for expression.
Drawing inspiration from the name 'Platforms', the identity is not centred around traditional use of logos but a typographic/graphic system.
By reimagining the typography set on a platform, this flexible and adaptable system accommodates Platforms' nomadic nature and event dates.
The typography is always accompanied by the imagery of hands, a nod to Platforms as a ground-up initiative and active community, and is inspired by hand gestures
in clubspaces, like DJ-ing, raving, clapping e.t.c.
